Mental Health & Wellness Scholarship

Empowering First Responders Through Mental Health & Wellness

We are excited to announce that First Responder Support is now offering scholarships for mental health and wellness-related services to first responders serving Boone County. We understand the vital role mental health and wellness support plays in maintaining the well-being of individuals in high-stress professions such as that of first responders, and we are committed to providing financial assistance to help cover the costs of related mental health and wellness treatments. Our scholarship program covers a range of mental health and wellness services, including therapy, and can be used to cover insurance co-pays or self-paid service fees. As a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting first responders, we strive to expand our offerings and provide the necessary resources to those who serve their communities. We hope that this scholarship program will help alleviate some of the financial burdens that may arise when seeking mental health and wellness treatments.

The Family Access Center of Excellence (FACE) of Boone County provides free case management services to all Boone County families with a child (aged 0-19) who may be experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral concerns.  We support families by showing warmth and compassion, learning about their concerns, and quickly connecting them to resources that meet their unique needs.  Our supportive services help connect families to community resources that address the concerns they have for their children and for their family as whole.

Asking for help is HARD, but we make it EASY!  Through our collaboration with several local mental health clinicians, FACE connects families experiencing financial limitations to 10 free therapy sessions to ensure their mental health needs are met.

FACE is funded by the Boone County Children’s Services Fund.

“Our first responders risk their lives to protect ours, and so today – and every day – we should thank those who serve and honor those we’ve lost.” – Kim Reynolds
